About

A specialist OT cybersecurity consulting practice for Australian critical infrastructure.

MNS Consulting is an Australian consulting practice focused on Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity for rail, transport, NSW Government projects and critical infrastructure asset owners. We exist to put experienced OT cyber specialists where they're needed most — inside delivery teams, alongside asset owners and across vendor relationships.

Who we work with

Built for the people accountable for OT outcomes.

Our clients are the people who carry the consequences of OT cybersecurity decisions — project directors, asset owners, asset stewards, cyber governance leads and the engineering managers who keep the systems running.

We work across the delivery chain too: with system integrators, authorised service providers and OT solution vendors who are themselves accountable to those asset owners. Independence and OT depth are the two qualities we never compromise on.

What we believe

Five things that shape every engagement.

OT is different.

Industrial systems fail differently to IT systems. Availability, safety and engineering change control aren't constraints to be “managed around” — they are the operating context.

People deliver outcomes.

Architecture documents don't keep trains running. The engineers, project teams and operators who use them do. We design for the people who own the work.

Independence is non-negotiable.

We don't carry product quotas or panel agendas. Asset owners get a clean technical view they can rely on.

Standards exist for a reason.

IEC 62443, NIST and the Australian critical infrastructure regime represent hard-won industry experience. We anchor to them, we don't invent around them.

Quiet, useful, honest.

We measure ourselves on whether the next gate is passed, the program is safer to deliver and the asset owner sleeps a little better at night.

Procurement & engagement

Multiple ways to bring us in.

We engage directly with asset owners and project teams, as a subcontractor to system integrators, and via recognised procurement pathways — including the NSW SCM0020 ICT Services Scheme on which we are registered. Engagement size ranges from a single specialist embedded for a sprint to multi-resource program support.

  • Direct engagement with asset owners and project teams
  • Subcontracted to system integrators and primes
  • NSW SCM0020 ICT Services Scheme (registered)
  • Specialist surge for design reviews and gates
